African Blackwood Box
A traditional instrumental wood; African Blackwood is one of the more interesting wood to turn. With the cutting angle and speed just right you can create a find ribbon of liking to black tissue paper. The wood has a rather sweet smells from time to time. I believe it to be in the Rosewood family even though the color range is black/purple to a near sold black in high quality pieces. This box came from a old stock or high grade Blackwood.
