Floating Space Vessel
“Floating Space” A open vessel, barely on three tinny African Blackwood legs. Blackwood is very strong and I wanted to express this with turning a light form. The main body is Big Leaf Maple. The complete burl was a ball over 3 feet wide. This is one of the best pieces that was cut off, with a natural bark edge. The facing side show a high quality grain pattern that normally goes to a veneer group for a high price. A rare example of large turning and ealier work, I am offering.
